Birthday boy

Hey, hey! How are you doing? I hope everything is fine with you. Can you believe January it's nearly over? Goodness, this month just flew by. I'm getting more and more excited about my baby coming to this world soon. Can't wait to hold my little princess in my arms. Just a little bit longer ...

Anyways, I'm here today to share with you a card that I made for my hubby's nephew who celebrated his 2nd birthday in December. I'm always struggling with man/boy cards, but when I saw the Birthday boy stamp from The Greeting Farm I knew immediately what I want to make and I realised that making boy cards isn't THAT scary after all. ;)

For this card I used papers from Authentique and from my stash. As it was a boy's card I didn't want to add flowers or butterflies or other girly embellishments, so I used some die cut stars, buttons, ribbon and paperclips to embellish the card. I also used some chat clouds from Pinkpaislee. In the middle of one of them I stamped a sentiment which is in slovenian and means "sincere congratulations".

The circle behind the image was embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss dots embossing folder. I coloured the image with Promarkers and Giotto and Faber Castell pencils.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Fabulous flowers

Heya! :) How's it going? Hope you've been enjoying the year so far. I can't complain, everythinghas been fine so far. I'm enjoying my time off and doing lots of crafting. I'm being extra organized this year - I'm even surprising myself. I just wonder how long will that last - knowing me probably not very long. lol

Anyways, a new challenge just started at Crafty ribbons blog. It's a nice and easy one - fabulous flowers (+ ribbon). I don't know about you, but I love using flowers on my creations. Usually I use quite a few.

I've had this floral paper in my stash for quite a while and I'm glad I finally put it to some use. As my main image I decided to use this adorable Double cupcake Anya from the TGF. I reeeeeally like this image. She's a cutie, isn't she?

She's coloured with Promarkers, and Giotto and Faber Castell pencils. On her hair accessories, parts of the cupcake and on the bow on her dress I also used diamond stickles.

The big red flowers are from my stash and all the other flowers were made with Tattered Lace die. The white doily is store bought and the kraft doily was made with my new Cheery Lynn die. Corner is a LLLC die. Gems and pearls came from my stash and ribbons are from Crafty ribbons store - I used this one and this one.

That's it from me today. Hope you'll come join our challenge! :)
Bye bye! xx

I made another card with the Eggstra special stamp set. I was going to use the sweet little chicken that comes with the set, but I just couldn't resist that cute little bunny. I had to use that little fluffy fella again.

Again I kept the design of my card very simple. I just used some green and white cardstock. White cardstock was embossed with Cuttlebug's embossing folder and then raised on foam fads for some extra dimension.

I used 5 different stamps from the set on this card, as well as 2 matching dies (for the bunny and for the banner).  I did the colouring with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils.

We’ll have more inspiration in the upcoming week using these awesome new stamps! Don’t forget you have until Monday, January 18th, 12pm CST to leave your comments below.

Have a wonderful day! xx

TGF preview day - day 3, Eggstra special

Heya! It's the last preview day of the TGF newly released stamps and dies. All of them will be released this Friday, January 15, so be sure to hop to the TGF store then. The stamp and die set that we are showcasing today is my favourite of the new release. Just wait til you see it ... Cuteness overload, I'm telling you. I went all "awwwww" when I saw it.

I made a CAS card for a change, because I *really* wanted to make this cute little bunny stand out. Isn't he adorable?! I'm not a big fan of fussy cutting, so I love the fact that this stamp set comes with matching dies. What a time saver!

As I said, I wanted the bunny stand out, so I raised it on foam pads. This gives the card some dimension as well. Behing the bunny I stamped some tulips that also came with the set. All of the colouring was done with Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers. On tulips I also used Stickles for some extra bling.

The sentiment came with the set too, as well as did that little heart I stamped next to the sentiment. I used my Sakura gelly roll pen to go over the sentiment to give it a bit of a sparkly look.

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Cards und more: One layer card
Bizzy Becs: Anything goes
Word art Wednesday: Anything goes
Deep ocean: Something new (new stamps)

TGF preview - day 2, Dollie with letter

Hey there! Welcome to the second day of preview of the newly released goodies from The greeting farm. Today we are showing you projects we made with sweet Dollie with letter, that is - imho - perfect for the Valentine's cards, anniversary cards etc. Everything to do with love and romance really. ;) She comes with a couple of sentiments (one of which I used on my card as well), which is perfect. At first I was going to make a card in red tones with lots of hearts, but then I changed my mind a little and chose completely different colours for my card.

I coloured Dollie with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils.

The sentiment came with the stamp set.

Hearts were cut with Xyron dies. Sequins and papers came from my stash and ribbons are from Crafty ribbons. I kept the card pretty simple, because I wanted the image to stand out. I raised Dollie on foam pads to give the card some extra dimension.

See you again tomorow for the third (and last) preview day. Bye bye! xx

TGF preview - day 1, Magical friends

Good morning my crafty friends. Today is the first preview day of the newly released stamp set at The greeting farm. I love the whole new release, all of the images are so darn cute. Trust me, when you see them, you'll want to just run to the store. :D The stamp set we are showcasing today is called "Magical friends". Here's what I made with it.

Seriously, how cute is this unicorn?! I love it!!! I like shaker cards, but for some reason I don't do them very often. So I decided to challenge myself and make one with this set. I have lots of sequins and I'm glad I'm finally putting some of them to use.

I wanted the image to stand out, so I kept the background white, I just used Cuttlebug's embossing folder to make the dotty pattern. I coloured the image with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I also used Stickles on the unicorn's hair to make it more sparkly and more magical. :)

The sentiment and the little star is part of the set as well. What I also like about this set is that it came with matching dies. Which means no fussy cutting - this saves a lot of time. I used the die for cut out the unicorn. :)

Hope you like my today's card. Be sure to also visit my teammates' blogs, because they have more gorgeous creations to share with you.

Have a wonderful day! xx

Last Christmas card for a while

Hello everybody! How are you enjoying the new year so far? I hope it starte off good for all of you and that it'll only get better with time. Have you taken down your Christmas tree and decorations yet? I haven't done that yet - will probably do it tomorrow. It started snowing late in the afternoon yesterday and when I woke up today everything was white - our first snow of the season. If only Christmas was like that! *sigh* So we decided to leave our tree up just for a wee bit longer; every day counts, right? ;)

I have one last Christmas card to share with you. It was done for a dear friend of mine and I didn't want her to see it before it arrived. Now it's already in her hands, so it's safe for me to post it here as well. :)

I'm sorry for the bad quality of the photos, but the card was done at the very last minute (how typical for me *sigh*) and I didn't have much time to take photos of it, because I had to mail it asap if I wanted it to get to my friend in time. Card is much prettier (and sparklier) in real life.

I received these elegant rectangle die cuts from one lady a while back and couldn't wait to make a card with them. Aren't they pretty? I think they were cut with Spellbinders dies. And when one of my friends and I had some crafty time I borrowed her Spellbinders poinsettia die and My favourite things' snowflake die to make a few die cuts with those as well. Once I put all of those die cuts together I made a card you see above. :) I wanted to use tulle in the background, but I couldn't find a white one in my little town, so I came up with a different solution. I bought a white net bath sponge and took it apart so that I could cut a piece of it out. I ironed it a little (I put a towel over it first) and voila, the result is seen on the card. I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Unfortunately it's very hard to see in the picture(s), but I added some Stickles on poinsettia as well. All of the embellishments I used came from my stash.

Well, that's it from me for now. I hope you're enjoying the weekend! Hugs! xx

Happy New Year and AG challenge at TGF

First of all let me wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope 2016 will be a wonderful year for you - filled with laughter, joy and happiness. And crafting - of course. ;) I wish you all the best!!

I'm starting this year in Blogland with my first card as a member of TGF DT. We thought we would start with an easy challenge, so many of you can come and play with us. Therefore the theme of our first challenge this year is "anything goes". See, I told you it was an easy one. ;) The only requirement is that you use image from TGF.

I decided to play with Double cupcake Anya. She's so darn cute and can be used for various occasions - birthdays, congratulations projects, Christmas ... Pretty much for every occasion really. Most of the papers I used are from Authentique and the dotty one is from my stash. I wanted the image to stand out, so I framed Anya with Spellbinders dies. The embossing behind the image was done wtih Cottage Florals embossing folder.

I did the colouring with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils and I added some glitter on parts of the image.

You have the whole month to play with us, so I hope to see many of you entering a project to this challenge. I can't wait to see what you'll make! :)

Here's to a great start of the new year. Cheers! :D xx
