Crafting for gold - day 1

Heya! I'm here again. :) We're at the first day of our Crafting for gold ceremony at CRPI blog and today our sponsor is Crafty sentiments. Do you know this company? They have very cute stamps and dies so go visit their site. :) The challenge for today was "embossing" and DT was lucky and got to play with some of Crafty sentiments images and here's what I made with one of them.

Isn't this teddy just too cute?I love this image! I colored it with Faber Castell pencils. The yellow background paper is embossed with Cottage floral embossing folder. The dp is from Provo Craft and the ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - I used their Summer breeze ribbon - zipper red. In the corners I used flower confetti and the dots around the image were made with Viva decor Pearl pen.

If you want to see what my teammies made and also want to be in the chance to win the lovely prize donated by Crafty sentiments, hop over to CRPI blog. :)

Hugs! xx

Crafting for gold - opening ceremony

Heya! If everything goes as planned I'm still enjoying my summer holidays. So I scheduled this post and hopefully Mr. Blogger will behave and post it as its supposed to.

Today a great new event started at Crafty ribbons Pure inspiration blog. Since our Best of British event was such a success (thanks everybody who joined in!), we decided to do another event, again with LOTS of gorgeous projects from my teammies and also with lots of fantastic prizes from our sponsors. Olympics are just around the corner so we decided to bring some "olympic spirit" to the Blogland as well, that's why our event is called "Crafting for gold". :D Each day there will be a new chance for you to win some goodies from that day's sponsor. You can join in every day and try your luck, but please be fair and only enter once each day.

Today is the first day of the event so we have an opening ceremony and our first sponsor is Crafty ribbons. Want to see the fabby prize you can win? Then hop over the Crafty ribbons Pure inspiration blog. ;)

Today's challenge for the DT was to use some ribbons on their project. Very easy one, don't you think? And here's what I made ...

This card was made for a very nice lady. I was lucky enough to win a candy on her blog so I sent her this thank you card. I have to admit I was very happy with how this card turned out, I think it's one of my favourites. It looks better on my bf's computer (I wonder what I did with my computer screen, I think I might have changed some settings by mistake :S) than it does on mine. I just hope it looks ok on your computer too. Both design papers are from my stash and I have no idea from which company they are. I wish I did know though, because I like them a lot and I want more. *sigh* The doily and crystals are from my stash. The butterfly stamp is from Inkadinka clings and the sentiment is Fiskars' stamp. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - I used their gorgeous seam binding ribbon - bolo blue.

I hope you'll have a look around and join us at our event. I wish you a great day!

Summer, holiday, beach

Good morning! How are you? Are you enjoying the summer? I'm having a wonderful time. And I'm about to have some summer holidays so this will be even better. ;)

But before I go away and disconect myself from the virtual world, let me tell you about the new challege at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. The theme of the new challenge is perfect for this time of the year - the theme is summer/holiday/beach. And we have a great summer prize for the lucky winner - these awesome Beach hut ribbons.

And here's the card I made for this challenge ...

I had so much problems photographing and editing this photo. I've never been happy with the colours. I am still not completely satisfied to be honest, but that's the best I could do. :S My bf edited this photo perfectly and it looked amazing on his computer, but on my computer it looked horrible (darn computer screens!) so I did some aditional editing and hopefully this will look ok on most computers.

I found this pretty paper in my drawer and I thought it would be perfect for a summer card. :) The image is a My time made easy digi and I colored it with promarkers. The butterflies are made with my punch and the corners are Spellbinders dies. I used my border punch and cut the border on small pieces which I then glued behind the image so I got the lace (sort of) border. The pearls are from my stash. It's a bit hard to see on the picture, but in the middle of each flower I used diamons Stickles. I also used 3 ribbons - all of them are from Crafty ribbons. I used: 15 mm Polka dot ribbon - lemon, 35 mm Satin ribbon - New turq and Love chocolate - satin box ribbon.

I can't wait to see what you'll create for this challenge. :) Have a great summer!

Photo inspiration

Hi there! I hope Blogger will behave and will post this when it's supposed to. I scheduled this post because I'm enjoying my days with my friend  from The Netherlands and don't have time to be online. :D

Our new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog just started and it was Mandy's turn to choose a theme and she chose "photo inspiration". And look this fabby photo she chose for the inspiration.

This gives you so many possibilities ... You can use colours as inspiration, flowers, you can create something vintage and chabby chic ... I love this pic. :) We have a fab prize for the lucky winner too. Hop over to the challenge blog to see what it is. ;)

And here's what I created for this challenge ...

I chose colours for the inspiration (I LOVE pastels) and I also wanted to created something a bit more shabby chic, though I am not sure if I actually managed to do this. lol The blue papers are from Provo Craft and the green paper is from Heidi Grace. The pink paper is from my stash. The string with beads is also from my stash and so are the crystals. I made the pins myself. The butterflies, stars and flower were made with my craft punches. I also used my border punch. The ribbons are from Crafty ribbons - I used the baby ribbon - dots/pearl pink and 25 mm sheer ribbon - dk lime.

I hope you'll come play with us. We always love seeing your creations. :) Hugs! xx
