Very quick post

This is going to be a very quick post, because I'm in a hurry. Today I was playing with blue a bit. Blue is my favourite colour, so I thought I'd try to create a card just with blue papers. And this is what I came out with ...

I think it's the type of card that you could give to a boy or to a girl. What do you think? The paper is from my stash, butterfly and flowers stamps are from Folia and the Hello stamp is from G Studio.

Generosity

I never thought I'd be using so much brown for my projects. But now I think I couldn't do anything without it. It's just perfect for all sorts of color combination. For my newest project I only used two colors though - brown and yellow (and a tiny bit of green). I was going to make a card for the challenge that required you only use 2 colors for your project, but I missed it. *ooops* But that's fine, I had much fun working on this card and that's most important. Stamp is the cute Tilda with peony from Magnolia and all the other things (papers, ribbon, embellishments).

Yummy

I have a very sweet tooth. So when I saw a "Food for thought" challenge at Cupcake craft blog, I knew that was a challenge for me. I had a pack of those 3D delicious looking stickers from Cookbookin' (stickers are called "Sweet delights" and you can find them on the bottom of this site) and I knew they would be perfect for this card. I used one of them and made this card ...

Isn't it just yummy? Mmmm, I wish I had a pie like this here right now ... Where the cherry was painted I glued a little red gem - because I like something sparkly on my cards. ;) Ribbon and embellishments are from my stock and as for the paper goes, I used some plain colored paper from my stock, the patterned orange paper is from Sizzix' Little Sizzles - Watercolors, the pale purple (the one behind the sticker) and the beige (sort of) patterned papers are from Nature collage kit by Arty collage.

My first blog award

I'm so happy today! I was just given my very first blog award - a LOVE BLOG award from Vicky. Vicky, thank you SO much for choosing me for this award. You totally made my day! I feel honoured to receive it and I am so excited! You're a total sweetheart! Thank you very, very much for thinking of me. Sending big hugs your way!!! :D I'm so proud to receive such great award. It's also extra special because it's my first. :D

Here's the award I won:
With this award also come some "obligations" (which you need to follow too, if you accept the award ;)):
1.) I need to link to the person who gave me this award ~ I have already done this, but want to do it again :P; if you haven't visited Vicky's blog yet, you should do it now; she's a great crafter and has so many wonderful projects on her blog that you could use for your inspiration.
2.) I have to let the person who gave me this blog award that I accept it ~ Vicky, I'm gladly accepting this award with a big smile all over my face. :D
3.) I have to post a Blog Love image in my blog post (see above)
4.) I have to pick 3-5 of my favourite blogs and pass the award to them; I also need to link to these blogs in my post (and then the blog owners should inform me that they have been tagged)

There's one rule about choosing your favourite blogs, and that is:
Dear Bloggers the aim of this award is that we bring unknown good blogs to light.
so I ask that you do not pass this award to fellow bloggers who have more than 3000 followers.

So, here it goes, I would like to pass this award to these blogs:
Lynn - Dreamweaver (scrapbooking, altered art, thoughts life)
Brenda - Brenscraps
Mandy - A sprinkling of glitter
Beth- Nana's memories & more
Aimee - Lil Mz Angelic world

There are MANY more blogs that I absolutely love reading, but I can only choose 5. You ladies are great and I love visiting you! Vicky, I'd send you this award too, but I don't think it could be passed back, could it?!?

Anyways, I hope you ladies will accept this award (because you deserve it!) and wear it with pride! Hugs!

Birthday card

Ok, so to everybody who read my previous post is probably logical that I'm not really good at making boy cards - yet. Practice, practice. However, that didn't stop me for trying again. I challenged myself! A friend of mine is having a birthday soon and for that I needed a birthday card that would be good for a guy. So, I put some brown stuff out, combined them with a bit of gold and yellow and avoided all the embellishments (that was the hardest part lol). Bellow you can see the result.

Baby card

A couple of days ago I found out that one of my friends is pregnant. So I decided to go and make a baby card for her. Now that was a challenge! I am anything but used to making birthday cards. I didn't even have any baby stamps - the one I used for this card was bought the day after I found out she was pregnant and was bought especially for the purpose of this card. It's cute though, isn't it? I don't know whether she's having a boy or a girl (she didn't have this info when we talked yet) so I was trying to create a card that would be appropriate for a boy and a girl. But I failed. *blush* It's waaaaaay too pink for a boy. *ooops* She better have a girl. lol :P I think I'll try to create another baby card soon, but this time I'll keep focused on blue papers. Maybe blue and yellow ... We'll see. There's still plenty of time for this card to be made. For now, here's the cute girly baby card. ;)

Spring

Do you have a favourite season? I do - it's spring. I love how everything becomes green again, the flowers are blooming and birds are singing. Plus the weather is fine as well - neither too hot nor too cold. Of course winter has its "magic" too (and so do other seasons), but I like spring the most. I like winter because you can go skiing, but since this is not an option for me right now :( I wish the spring will come soon.

I created this spring card today. I kept it simple, without too many embellishments.

When I saw this stamp in the store I knew I had to have it. Isn't it beautiful? And for some reason it reminds me on spring. This is Marij Rahder's Jugendstil no. 13 clear stamp. I also used some flower gems and yellow ribbon from my stash. The paper I used is Sizzix' Little Sizzles (Earth tones).

Life

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ~Anonymous" This is one of my favourite quotes of all times. So beautiful and so true! I have a stamp with this quote and I used it for the card I made today.

This stamps came in the pack of Cloud 9 design clear stamps (Simple Thoughts - Memories). I love this whole set; probably my favourite stamps so far. Other things I used for this card are plain purple paper which I stamped with Inkadinkado's Fluid Motion stamps, plain black paper and plain very, very bright blue paper (it's hard to see this colour in the picture). I also used one dark purple feather, gems, purple butterflies and purple polka dot ribbon from The ribbon boutique. The flower is handmade by me. :) Jessica from KinderStampO posted many awesome tutorials on her site and tutorial for this flower was one of them. She's one very creative lady. I can't wait to try some other things she made tutorials for. Visit her page here if you want to check her amazing work too. :)

Wedding card

I few days ago I found out that one of my friends got engaged. Yay! Isn't that great news? As I expect the wedding to come soon too, I decided to create a wedding card for her - to be ready when the big day comes. ;) It was quite a challenge for me to create something like that, because these type of cards aren't something I'd usually make. As I don't have any wedding images, I decided I would use my white doves confetti for the center "image" and some hear shaped crystals for the corners. I also added some flowers which I just bought and some lace and ribbon.

And here are the closer pictures of flowers and bow.

Bracelet

I've done some beading again. I really seem to be into paper crafts lately, but this doesn't mean I don't wish to do any beading from time to time too. Also, who doesn't want a new piece of jewelry every now and then?! I know I do. ;) For some reason I'm really into brown colour at the moment, so no wonder I made a brown toned bracelet as well. I've made this kind of 3D bracelet before, but that one was in black and red and I wanted to have one in brown too. :)

Here you can see the picture of the whole bracelet.

Winnie the Pooh

A friend sent me quite a few pre-cut and pre-colored Winnie the Pooh pictures and til now I haven't had any idea what to do with them. They were sitting in my drawer for quite a while and today I decided it's high time I do something with (some of) them. So I used 2 of those images on my newest card. The colors of those images were just perfect for the paper I was going to use so that was another plus. :D

Love is in the air

We're already over the first half of January. Can you believe it? How quickly time flies, don't you think so? I don't know what it's like where you live, but in my country in pretty much all stores they have been getting ready for Valentine's Day already. Lots of heart shaped candy, plushies, heart decorations ... All that inspired me to make a "Love is in the air" card. At Cuddy buddly I found this adorable free digi stamp which was perfect for my card. And I think those two birdies are just adorable. They offer quite a lot of free digi stamps for every occasion, so go and check out their site. :) The papers I used are from Sizzix (Little Sizzles: Watercolors). And the embellishments are just something I've have for a while.

Here's my card ...

New pair of earrings

As promised, I'm about to show you the new pair of earrings I made yesterday. It felt good doing some beading after a while. I wish I had a bigger space for all my crafts. In one corner I'd have a desk full of beads and stuff for jewelry making and in the other corner I'd have a desk with card/scrapbook making supplies. In my dreams ... Right now my desk is full of all sorts of papers, stamps and embellishments and it's a bit hard to even think about starting to work on a new piece of jewelry. But I really wanted another pair of earrings (not that I have way too many already :$; but I have to admit I'm sort of addicted to earrings) so I decided to make it. Somehow I managed to find a tiny little spot on my desk so that I could put my beads and tool on and voila, here's my newest creation.

And I have a another news for those of you who would like the chance to win a fabulous tote. Cricut diaries is having a giveaway on their blog and is giving away this fab Thirty-One tote. If you want to try your luck and enter yourself to the giveaway, just go to Cricut Diaries blog. But you need to be quick, because the giveaway ends tomorrow.

A bit of pink, blue and purple and a little bit of brown (bronze) for the taste :)

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I hope you've been enjoying your weekend so far. I know I have. :) I did some shopping today (I spoiled myself with 2 new Nesties :D :D) and I also managed to do some crafting. Doesn't sound to bad, huh? I made one card and for the first time in a while I also did some beading - I made a new pair of earrings. In this post I'm just gonna show you the card I made, will post picture of earrings tomorrow.

Here's the card I made ...

The image I used is a free digi stamp which I found while reading this blog. The owner of this blog is very sweet and shared this and a couple more free digis with her readers so if you are interested in getting some, just go to her blog.

And bellow you can see the details.

Stamp, stamp, stamp

I love stamping. The more I do it, the more addicted I am. And it's not the kind of addiction I want to recover from. ;) On the card I made today I did a LOT of stamping and distressing. And it actually turned out even better than I expected.

Here you can see the pic of the card I made ...

And as usually, bellow is the closer look of the details. :)

This butterfly is on a tag - upper right corner. Another one (which is the same) is on the tag as well, but at the bottom left corner.

Here's the closer look of the whole tag.

Here you can see the flower - I used two Prima flowers for this one. The bigger one was originally grey, but I inked it so it fits better. :)

And here is the closer pic of the metallic gray color dots I used (this picture is from the bottom right corner of the card; I used the same dots at the upper left corner).

Card for a special friend

We finally got some sun today. It was cloudy and rainy in the past couple of days and therefore some sun was more than welcome today. It really got me into good mood. :) Isn't it surprising what influence a change of weather has on people (at least some, me included).  Since it was such a nice day today, I decided to use nice, warm colours for my cards too. :) I also got the chance to use the "You're a peach" stamp that I got a short time ago. I have a friend who is spoiling me with all these goodies (stamps, embellishments ...)  so this card is for her. Susi, in case you're reading this I have to say "You're a star! Thank you for always being so kind to me."  *hugs*

Here's the card:

And as usually, below you can see closer pictures of details.

As usually, I colored the image with Jolly color pencils.

Nostalgia

I got this awesome new pack of quote stamps from my very sweet friend and this time I decided to make a card using one of them. I LOVE quotes and it's not a big surprise these stamps became one of my favourite things. There are just so many things you can do with them - you can make a card with them, you can stamp them in your scrapbook, use them for bookmarks, tags, make your own background with them ... Really, they are awesome!

I used one of those stamps to create this card ...

As I chose the quote about nostalgia, I also went for a bit old/vintage look with this card. I really like combination of brown and pink so I chose this combination for my card. For inking I used Tim Holtz's Brushed corduroy distress ink (I seem to be using this one a lot lately).

And as usually, here are pictures of details on this card ...

Another Magnolia card

I love this Magnolia stamp that I have (Tilda with peony). It's so darn cute (and so are other Magnolia stamps, but Tilda with peony is the only one I have lol)! <3 And I have lots of fun creating card using this stamp. :) So it's no surprise I made another card with this little girl. I used different embellishments on this product; I used different kinds of ribbons - red ribbon with white polka dots which I absolutely adore, white ribbon and black ribbon, buttons, chain, heart charm and heart shaped confetti. When I mixed all these ingredients and added white, red and black paper + Tilda's picture, here's what I got ...

What do you think? I colored the image with Jolly color pencils.

And here are closer images of the details of the card ...

Good to see these heart shaped confetti I bought quite some time ago finally proved themselves useful. lol :D

I love this hear charm. I've had it for a while, just haven't had the chance to use it til now. :)
